Layout matters

One of my favourite layouts to undertake is the design of an annual report. These represent the culmination of a year of a company’s work and accomplishments so they carry a lot of weight but they are often undertaken a little too close to when they need to be printed and hence can be quite stressful.

Some of the potential stress can be mitigated by having someone on board who knows how to squeeze in that extra bit of text without too much compromise to style. Consistency of look throughout the document can be maintained with a professional understanding of style sheets. Dull statistics can be made to come to life with illustrations tailored to the vibe you want to create. While I’d much prefer the client contacts me well in advance miracles have been known to happen in short timeframes.
